So sit beside them and watch. Watch where they stall, when they frown, and the moment they abandon your screen and reach for Excel.

Fix it the same day.

The one real asset of being on site is a near-zero feedback delay. If an obvious problem waits for next sprint, you have simply relocated your remote work.

Even an ugly patch today beats leaving the problem in the room for a week. An ugly patch can be refactored once you are home. Lost trust takes months to earn back.

Record every workaround.

Every time a user routes around your feature, you receive a free design report. The detour they take is usually the process that lives in their head.

Write these moments down. Look back a week later and they will point at the same place — normally the step you misunderstood on day one.
